Ferds Engineering, established by Mr Ferdinand Desouza in the year 1961, began with the manufacture of Precision Components and Sub-assemblies
Being concerned about nature, the environment and the earth, we at Ferds Engineering commenced a new vertical of manufacturing Shredders and Chipper Shredders. These include Garden Shredders, Agricultural Shredders, Organic Waste Shredders, Chipper Shredders and Food Waste Shredders. Various materials like Grass, Leaves, Twigs, Branches, Shrubs, Coconut Palms, Coconut Husk, Coconut shell, Paper, Cardboard and Food Waste can be easily and economically shredded in our machines.
Among our new machines are Foam waste shredders for shredding waste foam generated in the mattress, sofa and furniture industry. We have also developed a Coconut Leaf Shredder which can shred the entire coconut leaf of 10-12 ft. into small pieces at a high speed of 3-4 coconut leaves per minute..
Our Shredders and Chipper Shredders are designed by experienced engineers and tailor made to suit local conditions. The machines are manufactured from the best quality imported and indigenous material in a fully equipped factory having a wide range of Machine tools, Testing and Inspection equipment. Each part of the machine passes strict Quality Control and every machine undergoes extensive trials before dispatch. Our inherent strength is the capability to develop products from the drawing board to the commercial prototype. Design, development and manufacture are done in-house.
Ferds Engineering is a follower of good business practices. We have a large base of satisfied customers both in the private & public sector. Our FERDS brand Shredders are now operating in 15 states in India and we have also exported to several countries.

Mr. Floyd Desouza - Managing Partner
The company is headed by Mr. Floyd Desouza. He is a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai University and a Post Graduate in Management Studies from NMIMS, Mumbai .He was invited by the Ministry of Industrial training, Govt of Japan for technical training in Japan. His passion is creating and he is focussed on precision and perfection.
Under his able guidance Ferds Engineering has become a name to reckon with in the field of Shredders, Chipper Shredders and Compost Equipment.
